Elevation of section you can select a reference plane to sketch your profile on as long as you have a named one in your model.
Specify the work plane.
We also need to use a refrence plane upopn which we can sketch the side profile for our extrusion.
There are certainly other videos in this course that had us extruding a roof but none that had us actually doing it for our main roof suppose you have a roof that is impossible to create in a plan view that s where roof by extrusion comes into play what we re going to be doing in this video is create a reference plane to start our roof then we re going to sketch out our radial profile once we re finished we re going to extrude the roof to the other side of our.
Within revit the roof by extrusuion tool is used in an elevatation or section view as opposed to the roof by footprint tool which is used in a plan view.
So first of all let s go ahead and create our reference plan.
In the roof reference level and offset dialog select a value for level.
The highest level in the project is selected by default.
