The first step in a free roofing estimate is measuring the roof dimensions.

Assuming this is a hip roof we multiply this by 1 1 which gives us roughly 18 squares or 1 800 square feet of the roof surface. If your roof is flat or has no more than a 3 in 12 pitch you can calculate its total square footage by simply multiplying the length by the width.
